Two Gen Ed faculty were recently awarded Harvard College Professorships for excellence in undergraduate teaching. Gen Ed recipients Professor Christina Maranci and Professor Karen Thornber accompanied three other Harvard College Faculty in receiving the distinction.

Professor Karen Thornber, Harry Tuchman Levin Professor in Literature and Professor of East Asian Languages and Civilizations, teaches GENED 1078: Disease, Illness, and Health through Literature and GENED 1144: Mental Health and Mental Illness through Literature and the Arts.
